Hi Gators! My name is Anna Slominski, I am excited to return to College Heights after 6 seasons away. I have been competitively swimming for 20 years starting at College Heights, club swimming for Tsunami Swimming, and competing for James Monroe High School. I graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2023 with a degree in civil engineering, qualifying for the Swimming NCAA D3 National Meet twice and being awarded the LGBT Athlete of Year in 2023. Outside the pool I currently work as an engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation and enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons. Looking forward to a great season!
Hello, I am Annie Furrow and I am a rising senior at James Monroe High School. I have been swimming with the College Heights Gators for eleven years. I have also been a junior coach for one summer, volunteer coach for four summers, and taught private swim lessons. I joined Tsunami as a competitive year-round swimmer in 2015 and am starting my eleventh long course season this summer. I have been swimming for my high school team for four years, and this past season I was a team captain. My favorite strokes are butterfly and breaststroke. Outside of swimming I enjoy reading, volunteering in our community, and trying new sports. I am excited to coach again and cannot wait for an amazing season!
Hi! My name is Emily! I have spent the past several summers lifeguarding, teaching swim lessons, and coaching, and I'm excited to join the Gators coaching staff as an assistant coach this summer! I started swimming when I was 8 years old, swimming on summer and year round teams in the Richmond, VA area, before joining the UMW Club Swim team while in college. My favorite stroke is breaststroke, and I'd say one of my favorite parts about coaching is seeing swimmers achieve their goals throughout the summer. Outside of the pool, I teach high school math. I can't wait to meet y'all soon
Trevor has been on various summer swim teams and has been a year-round swimmer for seven years with the Stingrays. He has also been on the James Monroe High School Swim Team for four years and was a team captain his senior year where he also helped coach. For the past two years, Trevor was a lifeguard at the Massad YMCA. In the fall, Trevor will be attending the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) where he plans to study mechanical engineering and join the club triathlon team. Trevor is very excited to be a part of the coaching staff for the College Heights Swim Team.
Finn is a rising senior at Fredericksburg Academy. He has been a member of the College Heights Gators for 8 years and can't wait to enjoy another great season. He's excited to help swimmers improve their skills, boost their confidence, and have fun as a team. He's passionate about teamwork, sportsmanship, and creating a great experience for each swimmer in and out of the pool. He can't wait to help make this summer a memorable experience for all of the swimmers.
